I've been keeping up with all this hullabaloo about the Supreme Court Justice nominations, and I think that something is missing. The American people want judges (and especially supreme court justices) who can make clear concise decisions. We want judges who can get right to the source of the matter or problem and see a resolution that both makes sense and follows in accordance with the law as it is written. For this reason, I fear that we have missed some nominees who are completely qualified for the job. They are of course, Judge Judy, Judge Wapner and Judge Joe Brown. Heck, Harry Stone from night court might liven things up a bit as well.
So much time is spent in meaningless litigation over nothing thses days, and all these judges fall into the category of "not messing around". They want the facts, they dont want to hear abunch of nonsense and rhetoric, and they want to et the case decided withing a couple comercial breaks. I think they could handle the job. Allready trusted by so many Americans who watch them daily for the way they handle the cases brought before them, they would surely have no problem making it throiugh the nomination hearings and would probably raise interest in the higheest court in the land. Cant you just see someone like Doug Lewellen interviewing people on the steps outside the supreme court? Cant you just imagine Judge Judy telling someone to "zip it" in the highest court in the land? America wants to know and trust it's judicial system, and you would be hard pressed to find names more known than Judge Judy, Judge Wapner and Judge Joe Brown. Yes, I feel that they have been slighted and overlooked as candidates for the possition of Supreme Court Justice and that in itself is a travesty of justice. I mean, wouldnt it be cool to have someone say "5 minutes until Wapner" instead of the old "all rise" just as they justices entered the room? [img]wink.gif[/img]

They're qualified, ready and will get us all home by dinner time! Give them a chance, they have earned it.
